Memories suffocate, they always stay,
You try to forget, but they won't go away.
You try to go numb, but it’s all in vain,
You're forever locked inside your brain.
This is a prison, so easy to fall,
There’s only one way to escape it all.
A gun to your head, pull the line,
Or feel the blade kiss down your spine.
The sun shines softly on your skin,
A warm, nice touch you feel within.
But the storm is hiding, waiting still,
Clouds are forming, lightning will kill.
Maybe one day things will be right,
Every wound will heal overnight.
Even if joy never comes my way,
At least in peace I’ll rest someday.
You have to live, they say it's all fine,
Life’s just a game, for all of mankind.
Give yourself time, and soon you'll see,
This still isn’t the worst it can be.
