The Love of a poor dad Will drive a Rich man mad.
He Literally gave everything he had and he still remained glad.
He use to work a sweat for the little bit He earned of all his energy Wasted to ensure we never went Hungry.
He once made 15Pa'angas a week
He worked himself weak
For 52 weeks a year His body persevered
And not once a drop of a tear
His body might of cried but no tear came down his eye. This man struggled but he tried
To provide for his family a better life
And he tried, he made his sacrifice
This is my Dad.
This is sincere thanks from your son
Father I thank You for everything you Done.
We took on many of lifes battles and we won
Cause of your No Surrender/Die Hard Attitude
My roots strong and I give you all my Gratitude Si'eku Tamai Thank You!
This is my Dad!!
Before I could remember
30th October 1985/He's alive!
The day his oldest was born
This man had sworn to keep his family full and warm
He Carried on till his body is torn
He never moaned
His Priority is where his money was spent/
Putting food on the table and paying the rent
Scraped up enough for our school fees
Second hand uniform was good enough to suit me. Our survival wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for him
& Though we stayed low class
Let a few more years Pass
Now his kids are getting Older
Riding cars now, We were once on his shoulder
He Carried us like an injured soldier
Through battles and we prevailed
I count on this man/cause I know he won't fail
Unconditional Love/ Even when I was in Jail
He tried to keep me from trouble
He stopped drinking just to make an example
But I picked up the bottle to sample
That was my down fall/ Police Station Regular
And he's the first person I would call
Cause I know he'll pick me up when I fall
Whatever my family needs/ This man will give it all/ And he gave us his all.
This is my dad
I wrote this song for you
Sincere thanks from your son
Father I thank You for everything you Done
From the beginning you were the one
Father the highest of praise I give to you
I thank you Father this is my Gratitude
