Paul wants their peace resting in the Lord Himself, not in having every detail of prophecy fully settled in their minds.

Paul closes by pointing to his own handwriting as proof of authenticity — likely a direct response to the very problem that triggered this letter, a false report claiming to come from him. He wants no more room left for confusion about what's genuinely his and what isn't.
