Never again

It’s 3am again wrestling with who I am no pills no drink to put asleep

No ones around that’s what I think

Oh no my head can’t just shut it off

I am sober and need to stay strong

I know they said these feelings would come along

People gonna ask me what is wrong

I will respond ya gotta stay strong

Stand ya ground when it’s time to hold on

War and fight for a sober days won

It’s 4 am still fighting for sanity not using or drinking but who am I

still here waiting for the some triggers to disappear not today I’ll scream and shout

Ain’t this what it’s all about

Never stand for try it’s do or do not

there is no try no not this time stop the excuses the reasons why

It’s 5 am I’m going be okay I won the battle today

sobering moments oh just one day at a time a few moments of peace

Oh oh yes gratitude yes a new attitude giving thanks for the trails leading to a new life that never fails
