It’s incredible how time seems to fly.  

I’m sorry if I get busy in the daily grind. 

That clock ticks by minute by minute
And it seems that it speeds up every day
I remember when you were so little
And you would copy my every move.

Let the days drag on just a little longer. 
Child don’t grow up so fast
I keep getting left in the past
And though I’m proud of who your growing into 
I’m not ready for this part to pass. 

You’re so smart and so strong
It’s easy to see you’re doing great. 
You will do so much good in this world. 
The light you shine will be a guiding light for so many of us down here.
