A mother’s love

It’s God who called you a gift 
A gift he chose to give to me when he gave me you,. I wouldn’t trade you for nothing, loving you feels amazing watching you grow from a baby to young men and women. The first smiles, the first tooth, the first steps, the first day of school, the graduations and the many achievements has made me so proud and thankful to be your mama. At times I wish I could take your test and your trials, wish I could shield you from anything that can harm you just like when you were little. But you are adults now and have to do it alone. Many a times I’m worried about you but get comfort knowing I’m not the only one who loves you because Jesus loves you more than I do. Oh such relief I get from his promises concerning you, promising to deliver you because you are the seed of the righteous. Sometimes I think of death because it’s inevitable but whether I depart before you or the other way around I’m comforted by God’s word that’s it’s just a transition and that we will meet again forever. The nine months I carried you seemed long because I couldn’t wait to see your faces, the many years God has given me to be with you is fulfilling. Like butterflies I’ve seen you fly I’m grateful Hod allowed me to be not just a mother but your mother. I love you.
