Grace in Your Embrace

Oh, Pastor Hodges, I gotta say,

Your grace and warmth light up my way.

In this church, we're gathered round,

Your love and care, they smoothen the sound.

I come from a world, a self-taught line,

Trying to understand this Gospel divine.

Thought I was lost, didn't understand,

But you took me in with an open hand.

You see my heart, you see my soul,

Accepted me whole, made me feel whole.

Even if my words fall short, I pray,

Your love will guide me, come what may.

When you preach, all I see is you,

Had to give you homework on my way,

Seeking truth, I found my way.

Bible in hand, learning day by day,

Self-taught, but you showed me the way.

Your hugs are warm, your words are kind,

In this church, a home I find.

Though I stumble, I grow strong,
