I had a fling,

It started out nonchalant-

it was basically nothing.

But here’s the thing,

I didn’t mean for it to actually mean something.

Oh goddamn. Here I go again.

Silly me,

Dipping my toes,

staying up late, damn I can’t sleep.

I should of known,

Don’t sleep where I eat,

Now I’m tossing and turning,

Thinking about someone who isn’t even thinking about me.
