In a room where the light is too thin
Where shadows will dance on the walls
There’s a silence that speaks from within
Comes a voice that will softly call
With every breath, burning my seconds
I held my breath too long, learned all of my lesson
My dreams are all lost, my fears are now found
A cage full of thoughts, locked away without sound
I’m walking closer to the edge
Where thoughts and my actions might blend
In the darkest corners of my mind
Yet my heart is too heavy to bare
I’m reaching, but nobodys there
The light seems so distant
“Why aren’t they listening?”
But nobodies here…
Here’s the truth of life, it’s a masquerade
Every smile is a mask and they always fade
Every door is a chapter, It wont go faster
Memories turned ghosts Haunting echoes of laughter…
So I’ll hold on through the night….
Perhaps in the morning it’ll be fine
I’m walking closer to the edge
Where thoughts and my actions might blend
In the darkest corners of my mind
Yet my heart is too heavy to bare
I’m reaching, but nobodys there
The light seems so distant
“Why aren’t they listening?”
But nobodies here…
