Loving after loss is like stepping into deep, dark waters, trusting that someone will be there to keep you from drowning in grief and sorrow.
I am so very blessed to say that my someone has been you.
When I fell to my knees and begged Jesus to send me someone—a reason to keep living, breathing, and loving again—I knew He would answer with an abundant blessing, because that's who He is. He knew I needed someone who could challenge me just as much as they cherished me. Someone willing to put up their dukes right alongside mine. Someone who would fight through the mess with me instead of walking away from it. Someone who would accept the whole package—the good, the bad, and a whole lot of ugly.
We've fought battles together that most people will never understand. We've stood up to each other, stood up for each other, stood beside each other, and even leaned on each other when we were too weary to stand on our own. Somewhere along the way, we both became broken enough to realize we didn't need to be perfect—we simply needed each other. Because Heaven had already written our story.

Our paths crossed more than once. We shared familiar roads, common places, and moments that seemed ordinary at the time. Even when it wasn't our season, God was quietly writing our story. Every twist, every detour, and every heartbreak led us here—to this moment, together.
Today is our beginning as one, united with Christ at the center of our marriage, making us stronger than we could ever be alone.

Jeff, you are my person.
You bring sunshine to my heart. You awaken the country girl who has always lived inside me—the one who loves dirt roads, front porch sunsets, bare feet in the grass, and dancing in the kitchen. You make me feel just as happy being barefoot and fancy-free as you do when I'm dressed up to be your beauty queen.
I promise to always be your biggest fan, your fiercest supporter, and the one you can count on when life gets heavy. I'll help pick up the pieces when they fall apart, remind you of your strength when you forget it, and always offer grace when it's needed most.
Every day, I ask God for a lifetime with you. Every sunrise we share is a blessing I could never earn but will never take for granted. I thank Him for every laugh, every lesson, every quiet moment, and every dance we get to share.
So today, before God, our family, and our friends, I choose you. I choose you for the easy days and the hard ones, for the mountaintops and the valleys, for every season still to come. I promise to love you faithfully, laugh with you often, pray beside you always, and keep dancing with you for as long as God allows.
I love you, Jeff.
