Red rock morning

Suitcase dust on my knees

Pulled in the driveway

Smelled coffee on the breeze

She is on the front porch

Friends waving from the shade

All that highway humming

Faded right away

Arizona, you got me laughing again

Round this old table with my favorite friends

Passing the stories, passing the corn

Feeling brand-new in the place I feel in torn

Desert sun shining under my skin

Little ones running

Bare feet on kitchen tile

Burnt toast, bad jokes

Haven’t laughed like this in a while

We stay up talking

Till the stars start giving in

I came here so tired

Now I don’t wanna quit

All that time I’ve been chasing

Something I already had

Right here in these faces

Right here in this photograph

I leave in the morning

But I’m taking this with me
