Today is a Good Day to Die

I put a shotgun under my chin, because I know things will never change

When it's you against the world your life will stay the same

You can win some battles but you will never win the war

You can fight as hard as you can but you find yourself beaten, broken and scorn

I stand alone today, what more can I say

This is the only way I've ever known

I wish I could make this life change

I woke up this morning and I can't tell you why

But when I looked out the window I felt today is a good day to die

Shadows stretch across memories I can’t erase

Searching for a reason, lost in a vying chase

Echoes of desperation ring softly in my mind

Hoping for a sign, a peace to find
