Thought love was a fortress, turns out it was glass,

Shattered with words, broke fast, didn’t last.

Promises thin, spun silk in the wind,

Now I’m out here tryna mend where you did me in.

Heart in pieces, scattered ‘cross the floor,

Used to feel alive, now I’m hollow at the core.

You left your mark, etched deep in my chest,

But scars tell a story, even pain finds rest.

Your smile a mirage, bottled venom in disguise,

Whispers sweet truths, laced heavy with lies.

Built me up tall, skyscraper high,

Then knocked me down hard, just for the high.

Was the villain in your novel, or just a page you tore?

Loving you was deep, now I float to a shore.

Echoes in my mind, your laugh still scores,

But I'm rewriting chapters, no pain anymore.
