The alarm cuts through the black

Like a church bell with a cracked heart

Same ceiling, same dead air

Another morning pulled apart

Coffee stains and nicotine

Ghosts dancing in the kitchen light

I wear my shadow like a coat

Drag myself into the night

Wake

Eat

Go to work

Sleep again

Repeat the ritual

Repeat the end

Every day a copy

Every breath the same

Thought I was trapped in time

But time forgot my name

Streetlights bleed on wet concrete

Faces pass like funeral masks

Nobody speaks above the rain

Clock hands twitch like dying birds

Pinned against a pale white wall
