After the Fire

In the silence, I hear the world burn

Flames rising high, no time to turn

Broken skyline, shadows fall

memories of love, lost in it all

Echoes of yesterday, whisper in my mind

Searching for hope, but none I find

Can you see through the smoke, through the haze?

Trying to find a way, through the ash and blaze

This is how the sky falls apart

Flames and fears, ripping at my heart

We’re living in the end of days

Trying to find a little grace

Hold on to the night, to the fading light

Words left unspoken, out of sight

Hope’s a fragile flame, flickering low
