The Man You Become

I remember the days when you held my hand,

Learning to walk, barely a man.

Now you're standing tall, with your kids by your side,

They call you "Dad," I call it my pride.

You work like we taught you to,

Honest and steady, a heart strong and true.

With calloused hands, you cradle their dreams,

Like I once did, or so it seems.

Raising your kids, just like you were raised by me.

You teach them to fish and play by the riverside,

Show them how to pray with the moon as your guide.
