This was my Wake up Call

Lights were flashin’ on my front lawn,

Felt like the air and my heartbeat were gone.

Hands were shakin’, chest was tight,

Didn’t think I’d make it through that night.

I couldn’t speak, couldn’t stand,

So I reached out with a trembling hand.

Dialed the number, felt the fear,

When the sirens came, it all got clear.

This was my wake-up call,

Not to break, but to stand tall.

To face the pain I’ve kept inside,

And stop pretendin’ I’m alright.

I can’t keep runnin’, can’t keep it in—

This is where the fight begins.

It took a fall, it took it all…

But I got my wake-up call.

I’ve been buryin’ storms behind my eyes,

Sayin’ “I’m fine” while believin the lies.

But that night, the truth came fast—

That I’ve been drownin’, tryin’ to outlast.

And maybe breakin’ ain’t the end,

Maybe it’s where the healing begins.

Maybe the hardest breath I take

Will be the one that helps me wake.
