Lost in the Haze

Fading in, lost in the haze,

Searching for myself, trapped in a maze.

Thought I knew who I was yesterday,

But tonight I’ve drifted away.

Pills and spirits, my disguise,

Drowning in the neon lies.

Can’t tell what’s real, can’t find the truth,

Living a mirror I can’t undo.

Storm inside, I’m torn apart,

Lost my soul, broke my heart.

I don’t know myself anymore,

Fighting shadows from the core.

This drug, this drink, my deadly friends,

Lost myself, where does it end?

Trying to escape this endless night,

Looking for a flicker of light.

But the darkness pulls me deep,

Whispering secrets I want to keep.

Fading away, I lose my way,

Hoping someday I’ll break away.

Until then, I’m just a ghost,

A shadow of who I loved most.
