The Painter

Been a few rough months, not having you
wish I could share all the accomplishments 
I made within the common interest we shared
I wish I could call you or send you the link
to these songs that finally made it off the Ink

you’d be proud to here them come to life
after you told me it will 
be worth all the long nights

I will forever love sunsets 
cause I love the painter
he’s gained his wings
but still has an eye for the art
may not be the art he used to make 
music is the way he speaks 
but now he’s a painter
painting all the things 
his words couldn’t communicate 
when all else fails 
he paints it in the sky

always got an artistic eye

when we feel sad
he doesn’t ever want us to feel bad

his mind, he had his peace 
when he chose the demons inside 
even if it’s killing us by being caught
