Becoming Her Again

Lost in the shadow of yesterday’s pain,

Thought I might never love again.

But time’s gentle hand, it touched my soul,

Brought me back, made me whole.

Now I see a new dawn rise,

With every tear, I’ve washed the disguise.

And I bloom, like a flower in the spring,

Finally learning how to sing.

Becoming her again, stronger and free,

Finding the love inside of me.

Heart open wide, no more hiding,

Becoming her again, shining bright.

Every scar, a story told,

Made me brave, made me bold.

Now I rise, through the rain,

Being her once again.
