Bucket list

Lifelong plans have been living in me for years,
Every line is a dream that grows beyond my fears.
There’s a distant city, an unknown land to see,
And a road where what awaits no longer matters to me.

I’ve written down the places that I someday want to find,
The kind of dreams that make my heartbeat rise and shine.
I don’t want to keep on planning all my life,
If there’s still a road ahead, I’ll walk it through the night.

Up to the mountain tops, down to the open sea,
To find the person I was always meant to be.
When every dream I’ve carried finally comes in sight,

I want to see the sunrise breaking through the dawn,
On a distant shore where no one knows I’m gone.
To fly above the clouds, where the endless sky is wide,
And touch the things I feared and never left aside.

To dance until the morning in a place unknown,
To laugh without a worry, completely on my own.
To do the things I never dared to do before,
And finally say: I’ve won this life, I wanted more.
