Shadows of the Fight

Marching through the shadows, losing my way

The weight of the orders, day after day

Echoes of the battles, both outside and within

Fighting for my future, fighting to win

Started with a vision, clear and bright

Swore to serve my country, do what's right

But toxicity crept in, a poison so deep

Leaders who lie, promises they keep

They came with an Article 15, a strike so cold

Trying to break me, stories untold

Bar from reenlistment, fought through the fear

Broken but unbowed, I shed a tear

In the midst of chaos, I stand tall

Fighting for my honor, through it all

Mental scars, but still I fight

Clinging to my dreams, through the night

Every battle left a mark, a heavy cost

In the face of injustice, I was lost

But resilience grew from the pain

Breaking free, I rise again

Now I walk away, scars and pride
