Finding Worth in Shadows

Whispers in the night,

Echoes of my fright.

Lost in a world,

Where shadows feel so real.

Anxiety’s like a chain,

Pulls me deeper in the rain.

I try to breathe, but the weight just doesn't cease,

Every heartbeat feels like I'm in a lease.

When they ask, "Are you fine?"

I smile, I try to shine,

But inside I’m pouring out, crying silently,

Wishing for a breakthrough, to set me free.

Take me away, far from the noise,

To a place where I can hear my own voice.

Leave these thoughts, tangled in a fight,

Guide me to the dawn, bring me into the light.

Every glance feels like a stare,

I hide my truth under layers of despair.

Fighting battles behind closed doors,

Searching for a warrior who’s never to score.

When they say, "Let it go,"

I drown deeper in sorrow’s flow.

But if they could just see through my disguise,

They'd witness the turmoil living inside.

Take me away, far from the noise,
