i met a man walking up to me named andre

who said he goes by his last name

he believes in unconditional election

it don’t make since to me today

if it’s your will for them to recognize your favor

soften their heart to what you’d have ‘em hear you say

I struggle to understand the higher things he’s saying

in a pulpit speaking on grace

but i hear the pride in his voice

not of a work he’s done

that he believes he can boast in

but a God who called him by name

maybe I’m jealous cause I wish that I was worthy
