It happened again 
My righteous friend 
Left me feeling broken on the side of the road
All that preaching 
And praising Jesus 
never seems to fix a single thing between us 
You left me judged and lonely and 
Afraid  
After all the times you told me that you'd prayed 

Your Jesus ain't my Jesus 
The passive aggression the people pleasin'
Worried about your image 
And what folks are thinking 
You might keep the commandments 
But your heart keeps shrinking 
Do you do it all just to be seen?
Can u love those you've don't  think are clean?
Was sweet Jesus really this mean?

My Jesus understands my flaws
Never gives up on this lost cause
Gives the sunshine and the oxygen to all
My Jesus will catch me when I fall 
I'm not saying he condones my sins but 
He lets me repent and start again when you 
Just like to re remember them all...
My Jesus won't let me hate you 
as much
As I anticipate you'll never learn the lessons of this world  
Your still heavenly fathers boy or girl
I guess it's true
My Jesus loves you, too.

Religion with you
Isn't what you do
Or even always what you say.
The word is mightier than the sword 
And when insults come from those who profess the Lord 
They cut in the cruelest kind of way..
