Shattered Silence

In the night, I was just parked, mindin' my own way,

Suddenly lights flash, now they wanna play.

Refused to step out, holdin' my ground,

Next thing I know, the glass shatters sound.

Caught in the crossfire, unexpected fight,

Wounded pride, and a blurry night.

Questioned and battered, feeling the strain,

This ain't the justice I seek, just pain.

Broken window, and a battered face,

Caught in a struggle, lost in the chase.

Police and chaos, stories collide,

Refused to run, but paid the price.

Is it resistance or just standing tall?

In the face of power, did I fall?

Strong in spirit, scars on my skin,

Fighting my rights, let the healing begin.

Reflection in the glass, stories untold,

Voice unheard, stories bold.

From the wreckage, I rise anew,
