Verse 1:
So we do not lose heart.
Even though our outer nature is wasting away,
our inner nature is being renewed
day by day.
For this slight momentary, affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all measure,
because we look not at what can be seen
but at what cannot be seen;
for what can be seen is temporary,
but what cannot be seen is eternal.
Chorus:
We fix our eyes not on what we see,
But on what is waiting in eternity.
For what is seen will soon pass away,
But unseen hope will forever stay.
Verse 2:
We live in a tent that will one day be gone,
But heaven awaits us, a house built by God.
We groan for that clothing, immortal and bright,
Swallowed by life in His glorious light.
Bridge:
We walk by faith, not by sight,
We live to please the Lord of life.
We’ll stand before His judgment seat,
And bow in awe at Jesus’ feet.
Chorus (Repeat):
We fix our eyes not on what we see,
But on what is waiting in eternity.
For what is seen will soon pass away,
But unseen hope will forever stay.
Outro:
Eternal glory, light divine,
Our lives are Yours, our hope is Thine.
Though tents may fall, Your throne will stand,
We’re home at last, held in Your hand.
