I See God Move

I was running on empty, chasing dreams that couldn’t last,

Building hopes on broken things, trapped inside my past.

But even in the silence, when I thought You’d walked away,

Your mercy found my heart again, and taught me how to stay.

You pulled me from the shadows, gave my soul a brand-new song,

Now every breath I take reminds me I’ve been Yours all along.

I gotta leave my past behind as I press toward the mark — Jesus Christ the Prize.

And the closer that I get to Him, the more I understand,

Every burden that I’ve had to bear,

Every trial, and every single tear —

God was always there.
