Rise from the Shadows

In the shadows where the silence screams,

I found my heart stitched back at the seams.

Walking through hell, felt like a ghost,

But in this fight, I learned to be my own host.

Three against one, didn’t know where to run,

Each day waking up, just a battle not won.

Haunted by flashbacks, nightmares in the dark,

But through the pain, I found a spark.

Found my strength in the love I found.

The beauty in hope that set me free.

PTSD, anxiety, they’re scars of my past,

But with love in my life, I’ve broken the cast.

Fighting every day, but I’m not on my own,

Light at the end, it’s shining so bright,

We are survivors; we will win this fight.
