Tested by Grace

Lost in the shadows, crying out for grace

Seeking reason in the pain I face

Heavenly Lord, I stretch my trembling hand

Trying to understand the master's plan

Out of jail in twenty twenty-four

Climbing from the depths, trying to soar

Back to the arms that hurt me before

Questioning why I was shown that door

A sword in my soul, armor and shield

Fighting demons that refuse to yield

Why did you give me this burning pain?

Is it for growth, or just the rain?

Heavenly Lord, why this test?

Why do I stumble, why do I wrest?

Save me from the dark, from the devil's snare

Hold me close, Lord, show you care

Pain and sorrow, I carry inside

Fighting shadows, nowhere to hide

Knife pressed to my neck, angels' grace

Saved from death, saw their celestial face

A purpose hidden deep within

From broken roots, I try to begin

Was it love or lessons I was meant to learn?

Oh Lord, my faith, help me discern

Heavenly Lord, why this test?

Is this the story you want me to write?

Of survival, of faith, through darkest night?

A testament of love, a fight to heal

A sacred journey only you reveal

So I pray for strength, for peace to find
