Wave Rider

Boots by the shoreline, hat cocked to the moon,

Gas tank full, I’ll be glidin’ real soon.

Sunset drippin’, horizon in gold,

Engine growlin’ louder than a bull uncontrolled.

Ripples in the water, my trail like a comet,

Spinnin’ in the spray, feelin’ hydroponic.

No saddle needed, my steed's aquatic,

Dirt roads traded for waves symphonic.

Wave rider, out on the tide,

Cut through the blue, can’t kill my vibe.

Splashin’ high, leavin’ troubles behind,

Wave rider, freedom’s my guide.

Whiskey in my veins, but my grip stay tight,

Racin’ dolphins, yeah, we share the night.

Ridin' fast, past the fishin' nets tight,

This ain’t no rodeo, but I’m buckin’ alright.

Salt on my lips, wind slappin' my face,

Sky turnin’ purple, I’m lost in the space.

They said "Stay on land," but I’m a rule-breaker,

Jet skiin’ outlaw, wake-maker, risk-taker.

Propeller dreams, yeah, I’m floatin’ clean,

Bayou bounce with a country sheen.

Water beneath, stars over my head,

Livin’ this life, ‘til the motor goes dead.
