Chasing A Dream

I left home when I was seventeen, not knowing of the world but chasing my dreams, stars mirrored brightly deep within my eyes, hopeing that one day, to the top I will rise, days turn to months and months turn to years, with each fading show, my chances disappear.

So when you've been out there playing thru the pain, thru daylight and darkness and even in the rain, as stage lights flicker and the crowd begins to yell, just remember to go home or even drop a dime, to the wife and kids, that you left behind.

Time rolls by, family I have not seen, running down the highways, chasing that neon dream, the music that I play, keeps running thru my veins, like a hillbilly cryer, it can drive you insane
