Sunshine Inside

Open the window, the world wakes up slow

Coffee in my mug, deep breath, time to go

Trip on my slipper but I laugh it away

If plan A fails, I just flip the page

And if it rains outside, that’s okay

I’ve got sunshine in me no one can take away

Today I choose to see the bright side

Even small things turn into light

I’m in the rhythm of what feels right

Keep life easy and it’ll turn out right

If I fall, I get up and sing

Cause a bad day never lasts that long

I’ve got a day of sun inside

And that changes every moment of my life

Say good morning to my neighbor, get a smile right back

Big problems get smaller when we stay on track

Call up someone I love just to say “I’m here”

We push each other forward, that’s how we steer

And if my chest gets tight, I know it too
