Embracing Each New Day

Hey, we’re here standing strong,

Turning scars into songs,

Every breath a new chance,

To dance through this life, we’ll take a stance.

Once a shadow, now the light,

Fighting each day with all my might,

Jumping at whispers, heart racing fast,

But I’m more than my past, I will outlast.

I step outside to face the world,

With a heart of steel, let my flag unfurl.

Grocery lists, the weight of the past,

But each step forward feels like a gasp.

Relearning how to live, relearning how to be,

In crowded spaces where I used to feel free.

Fighting those battles, in my head they thrived,

But the strength inside me, it’s come alive.

I’m a survivor, not a victim,

In this journey, I won’t be a prisoner.

Every day’s a new adventure,

Fighting fears, embracing my nature.

Wednesday’s looming, the store’s my stage,

Each item I grab, I turn a new page.

Voices of doubt echo in my mind,

But I’m stronger now, I’ve left them behind.

Door dashing through the streets I roam,

Each delivery, I’m carving a home.

Therapy on wheels, connecting with smiles,

An everyday warrior, going the miles.

Relearning how to live, relearning how to be,
