Lords Tears

Lord I saw a rain drop

fell upon me from the sky

but few they really understand

or know the reason why.

and some they see a cleansing

some they call them tears,

some they wash away their pain,

and some it causes fears.

but I know Lord

for what they are

and the power that they hold,

for in the days of Noah

their powers did unfold.

And Noah kept the faith of you

and worked both night and day

and when the rain Begin to Fall

Lord you showed the way

And Noah's ship stood ready,

to stand against the squall.

and even though they laughed at him

he still prayed for all.

And the storm raged down upon them

Raindrops filled the air

people cried out to the Lord

but the Lord just wasn't there.

And it didn't have to be this way.

for the Lord to shed his tears.

to see his children swept away

cuz no one really hears.

And Lord you placed a rainbow stretched above us in the sky

a promise to our children

that this new world would stay dry

Lord I pray

they understand why....

there's a rainbow in the sky.

And so the story of the raindrop

to you my friend is told.

of a man they say who lived to be 900 years old.

are you really listening

do you even care...

Lord I seen a rainbow

on a billboard in the sky

but the reason that they're teaching,

is not the reason why.

and they're mocking you at every turn,

they call it pride and say it's just

but they're lying to the children,

oh lord it's way too much....

I pray for them to understand

the day that Noah cried.

for on that day

the whole world died...

a raindrop

destroyed their pride.
