Hope in the Shadows

Words whisper softly in the night,

Trying to catch some peace,

But the shadows hold their secrets tight.

Walking on a line, torn in two,

Every step I take, I wonder if it's true,

Can't please the world with just my hue,

But deep inside I hope, I wish, I pursue.

It's a fragile dance, a fleeting light,

Holding on to dreams, in the quiet of the night.

Hoping somewhere there's a spark that ignites,

A way to mend the broken, to make it right.

It's sad when you can't make everyone happy,

Though your heart beats strong, and your hands try,

Still, you wish for a little more, a better sky,

Hope’s the whisper when you can't cry.

In the silence, I hear my own voice,

Telling me to keep the faith, to make a choice,

Though the world’s weight is a heavy load,

It’s hope that keeps me on this road.
