Just what I claim to be

Judging my book by its cover

Is just scratching the surface of me

But once I set designs on you

And you set yours on me

it's the beginning of a relationship

of private affinity

As we dust off layers

to reveal mistakes of our youth

Our love is archeology

A search for treasure buried

Beneath our lies and our truths

Hopefully our expeditions

Will lead to wealth and acclaim

But I find you and you find me

We'll unearth our love just the same

I'll never know who you are

Just what you present to me

If I wasn't too curious

I might never learn to see
