Ever After

Its clear now she's not coming back

In the desperate throws of a panic attack

Emotional chaos begins to erupt

All switches set on self destruct

No purpose left or need to conform

I'm now an emotional super storm

I wanted to improve and make her see

But long ago she determined to be free

I thought i knew love knew where I was going

Thought our love would always be flowing

A strong start and once good story

Now my days are dark and without glory

Life's been good life's been long

I've caused damage and done much wrong

Time draws short I may soon be gone

A child lost

An enormous cost

A life lacking in treasure

Over invested in pleasure

Music for every season

Often acting outside of reason

Thinking love contained great power

Reality learned in the eleventh hour

Adventures and joy wind down

I exit empty alone and a clown
