During one of my trips to Agadir, on the last day, shortly before taking the bus to return to Casablanca then to Paris by plane,
I met my ex-boyfriend Charaf.
He cried that evening under the soft skies of Agadir because he did not want me to return to France.
We had just met on a sidewalk in Agadir and Charaf fell in love with me very quickly.
He spoke neither French nor English but only Moroccan.
It was therefore quite difficult to understand me who only understood a few words of Moroccan Arabic.
But Charaf, who was a young man full of charm, touched me a lot with his warm tears.
He begged me to stay with him longer.
Of course, this was impossible for me because my employer was waiting for me here in France, but I promised him I would come back and see him.
And indeed, two months later, we rented a small apartment in Casablanca for a week.
The week went very well and I too fell in love with Charaf during this period.
We were walking in the moonlight of Casablanca and I was surprised by the incredible number of shooting stars I saw.
Of course, I tried to talk to Charaf about it but he didn't see what I was trying to explain to him about all these magical shooting stars that I saw in the Sky of Casablanca.
So I made wishes on my own so that Charaf and I could get married and live together in my home in France.
Charaf was very nice.
But the fact that he didn't understand French was a really big handicap and we had to separate because of it.
Indeed, Charaf, despite his progress in speaking to me, refused to go to the Internet café during my absence at his side to communicate with me.
So much so that I called him every evening, but every evening he mourned my absence and I spent my time consoling him.
The telephone bills were very heavy for me, and Charaf was afraid of not being up to the task of preparing for the marriage interview at the consulate in Agadir.
It was really very sad, no matter how much I reassured him, nothing helped.
So, I decided to leave him by giving him his driving license.
This way he could continue his life while working in his country.
He actually managed to get his driving license on the first try and then got married.
I was very proud of him and it gave me a lot of joy in my heart despite the sadness of the separation.
I hope you are still well my dear Charaf even if it has been years since I have heard from you.
May God protect you my dear friend.
