I Made It

July 1st, the world stood still

Doctor said “maybe” — gave me chills

Stage 4, hope was paper-thin

But I dug deep and found the fire within

Sixteen rounds, tears and pain

Chemo burnin’ through every vein

Scarred and shattered, drained and low

Still I rose, refused to let go

I asked the stars, “Is this the end?”

But prayers came through, so did my friends

You held my hand through the darkest days

Now I’m standing here with so much to say

From broken down to standing free

Cancer tried, but it ain’t got me

So light it up, no time to fake it

Every morning felt like a fight

Cried in silence, questioned fate

But healing don’t rush — it makes you wait

Doctor smiled, said “You’re the dream”

My body fought like a war machine

May 29, I heard the sound

Of angels singin’, “You’re victory-bound”

So to the ones who showed me grace

And those who left — I’ve made my space

I’ve learned to shine, I’ve learned to say

Love me right… or get out of the way
