Texas sky wide open tonight…

Dashboard glow, city fade in the mirrors…

Started at midnight… now we ridin’ till sunrise…

Pulled up slow at the late-night meet,

Camry sittin’ clean on the backstreet,

Bass hit hard while the engines rev loud,

But you the only one I notice in the crowd.

Neon lights paint gold on your face,

Texas wind blowin’ while we drift through space,

Everybody flexin’ foreign wheels outside,

But this old Camry got the best damn ride.

We ain’t rich, no diamonds on display,

Just cheap gas and a dream on the highway,

Steam from the coffee cup, cold night air,

Every mile with you make the stress disappear.

Best part of the ride is her.

Built from hard times, never backed down,

White lines flash like a heartbeat race,

Freedom ridin’ in the passenger space.

Backroads after everybody leave,

You steal my hoodie when the air get cold on me,

Playlist vibin’ with the speakers low,

Your head on my shoulder while we cruise slow.

Every wrong turn led me right to this,

Radio static mixin’ with the dawn,

Feels like the whole damn world reborn.

Gas station stop for some breakfast runs,

Laughin’ at how we stayed out till the morning sun,

Makeup faded but you still shine bright,

More beautiful now than you were last night.

Birds start singin’, traffic wake alive,

Still got your hand wrapped into mine,

From neon nights to the morning rays,

I could ride forever through these Texas days.
