Moonlit Vamptress

For years I wandered forests made of hollowed bones and ghosts

A beast beneath the winter sky with no place left to go

I learned to live with silence

I learned to sleep with pain

Howling at a distant moon

Believing love had faded

Every night felt endless

Every breath felt cold

Like God had cursed the wolf to walk this earth alone

Then there you were

Black velvet eyes beneath the stars

Emerald shadows in your hair

A phantom wrapped in moonlight

Like heaven dressed in sin

And for the first time in centuries

The darkness finally stared back

You touched the scars I tried to bury

And suddenly the dead inside me breathed again

Oh my moonlit vamptress

You found the wolf beneath the ruin

The lonely creature cursed by time

Whose heart forgot how to feel human

I howled for you long before we met

Like the wolf cries out for the moon

And somehow through eternal night

The gods led me to you

You move like candle smoke through empty cathedrals in my mind

Cold hands against this aching soul

Like peace I could not find

And maybe we were both born cursed

Two shadows shaped by pain

But your voice sounds like springtime

After centuries of rain

You never feared the monster

You walked straight through the dark

And laid your head beside the beast

That guarded his broken heart

So let the heavens call us sinners

Let the world say beasts like us were never meant to love

Every scar
