I was fine ’til the shadows crept in

Fingernails on the window grinnin’

Woke up with blood on the bedsheet thread

But I swear it wasn’t me again

Every night, I hear that moan

Like a choir from the catacombs

I lock the door but I still roam

Eyes shut tight, but I’m never alone

They say I’m cursed, I say I’m chosen

I walk while time itself is frozen

Haunted thoughts I can’t outrun

Who’s the monster I’ve become?

I’m sleepwalking through my sins

Every scream beneath my skin

When the moonlight pulls me under

I become what lies within

Chains won’t hold me, prayers won’t stop

I’m the ticking of the clock

When you hear me in your dreams—

Don’t wake me up

Eyes roll back, I slip the veil

Lips start moving—no breath to inhale

Writing names on the fogged-up glass

All the ones who never last

Crows in the attic tap in rhyme

Counting corpses lost to time

Did I do it? Can’t recall

But I know I watched them fall

I dug a hole in my own chest

Buried guilt where I used to rest

Now it festers, now it feeds

Growing teeth from all my needs

Pull me deeper—drag me low!

Ripping seams of my shadowed soul!

Burn the light, I thrive in cold

Buried alive, but never old!

Bite the hand that tried to pray—

You can’t save what rots away!

I’ll twist the dream, I’ll split the seam,

“Are you watching me bleed?”

“Did you think it was sleep?”

“I am the thing beneath the bed.”
