Pink skies melting into what once was blue

We’re walking, talking, and my mind is racing I'm not sure what to do.

Five miles ahead but we’re in no rush —

You talk, I listen, the whole world hush.

The crescent moon stares at us, all knowing and wise.

He knows the stars will be jealous of the twinkle in your eyes.

No big confessions, nothing too deep —

Just you, me, the sky, and a feeling I wanna keep.

Under pink skies with a crescent moon peekin’,

You got me thinkin’ things I shouldn’t be speakin’.

Laughin’ at jokes, I think I'm talking to much.

Catchin’ me glancin’ at your backside “I just wanna touch.....

but you do make it tough, This day could last forever but that wouldn't be enough.

You tell some story with your hands in the air,

And somehow I’m starin’ like a fool without a care.

Your voice hits easy, your steps hit light,

And the very long walk just feels kinda right.

Just sayin’ walking with you I wanna to be clever.

You laugh at my grin like you know every thought,

And yeah, okay… I was imagining a lifetime with you, and I got caught.

Under pink skies with that crescent moon glowin’,

Five miles flyin’ by, no reason, no tries —

Just one long moment under watercolor skies.

The beautiful moon and the sparkle in your eyes.
