Burning skies no stars to guide

Empty streets where shadows hide

Footsteps echo loud and clear

But no one listens no one’s near

Jagged edges break the calm

Silent screams they sing their psalm

Clouds are heavy like broken chains

Carry the weight of endless pains

Oh the fire it won’t be tamed

Unruly flame it can’t be named

Rages high consumes us all

Ashes rise while empires fall

Broken bottles shattered glass

Cigarette smoke it doesn’t pass

Words get tangled lose their way

Nothing left just night and day

Gravel voice screams out the truth

Dreams are buried under youth
