Yeah, streets cold, mind colder, struggles got me on my knees,

Everyday a battle, fighting to breathe, trying to find peace.

Broken glass on the sidewalk, stories untold,

Empty stomachs, dreams sold for coins, life’s harsh, hold on.

Skyline draped in gray, hope fades with the dawn,

Screams in the alleyway, pain’s a familiar song.

Fingers stained with dirt, hearts heavy as stone,

Trying to make a dollar, but your soul’s overthrown.

System failing us, leaves us in the dark,

Living life on the edge, just trying to leave our mark.

Bills piling high, stress that’s relentless,

Every step I take, war within, instinct to be expressionless.

Came from the gutter, path is rough and rugged,

Struggling to survive, mind’s tangled, feelings thudded.

Frustration, oppression, a chorus of despair,

But deep down I hear a voice saying, “Stay there.”

Addiction’s a trap, got me chasing that high,

Mind spiraling downward, tears I can't deny.

Wrong turns, dark nights, chasing fleeting pleasure,

Lost in the maze, searching for some kind of measure.

Inner battles raging, hope’s slipping away,

Fighting demons daily, trying to find the light of day.
