Inspired by the Book of Daniel
[Verse 1]
Taken from home to a foreign land,
A young man trusting in God’s own plan.
Kings would rise and kingdoms fall,
But Daniel stayed faithful through it all.
He would not eat what would defile,
He walked with God through every trial.
Wisdom, favor, truth, and grace,
God’s hand was on his life each day.
[Pre-Chorus]
When the world said, “Bow,”
He chose to stand.
When fear filled the room,
He trusted God’s hand.
[Chorus]
I won’t bow, I won’t break,
I’ll trust my God whatever it takes.
He’s the Lion of Judah, strong and true,
He’ll make a way when I can’t see through.
Faith over fear, I’ll stand and pray,
God is with me every day.
Like Daniel, I’ll trust the King,
To the Lord alone I’ll sing.
[Verse 2]
Jealous voices made a plan,
To trap God’s faithful servant, Daniel.
A law was signed: “Don’t pray again,”
But three times a day he knelt to Him.
Thrown into the lions’ den that night,
Surrounded by fear, but filled with light.
God sent His angel, shut every jaw,
The lions stood still in holy awe.
[Bridge]
The fire couldn’t stop His friends,
The lions couldn’t bring his end.
The God who rescued long ago
Is still the God I serve and know.
When kingdoms shake and darkness grows,
His faithfulness is all I know.
No matter what tomorrow brings,
My life belongs to the King of kings.
[Final Chorus]
I won’t bow, I won’t break,
I’ll trust my God whatever it takes.
He’s still the God who saves today,
He’s never failed, He’ll make a way.
Faith over fear till my last breath,
His love is stronger even than death.
Like Daniel, I’ll stand and pray,
Jesus, lead me every day.
[Outro]
Even in the lions’ den,
God is faithful to the end.
Stand for Him, don’t be afraid—
The God of Daniel never changed.
