Jokes in My Head

Yeah, I try to throw a joke,

But sometimes I just blow.

Got these lines in my mind,

Hoping they’re funny or kind.

Step into the scene, my nerves are high,

Words stumble out, I wonder why.

Cracking a smile, but missing the beat,

Trying to be witty, not defeat.

Oh, it’s a balancing act,

Laughter’s the pact.

Trying to connect, but it gets complex,

Jokes in my head, what’s coming next?

I don't know how to joke, but I still try,

Laughs flying just to get me by.

It may come out wrong, it’s a little broke,

But I keep on trying, oh I don’t know how to joke.

Maybe one day, I’ll find the flow,

Turn these lags into a show.

Until then, I’ll just poke,

Keep on laughing, even if I don't know how to joke.
