Lessons from the Shadow

Silent shadows in the night, I watch and wonder why

The pain that cuts so deep, the tears we cry

A soul battered, wounded, fighting to survive

In this endless cycle, trying to stay alive

Walking through the darkness, seen so many fall

Victims of the violence, hopes are torn, they crawl

Glimmers of a future, shattered on the floor

Seeking strength in suffering, craving something more

The Grim Reaper, mortal but wise

Watching over all under endless skies

Not here to take, but here to teach

Learning from pain, the scars we reach

Survivor of the storm, standing tall again

Through the fire, through the rain, breaking every chain

The Reaper's choice, to struggle or to grow

In the darkest night, let your courage show

Echoes of the cry, buried deep inside

Reflections of the past where hope had died

But in the shadows, a seed is sown

A chance to heal, to find your own home
