My Faith

The time had come, Christ took his stand,  
He preached God’s truth across the land.  
“The Kingdom’s near—repent, have faith!”  
And many hearts found hope and grace.  

The hour arrived, Jehovah’s plan,  
Unfolded through this perfect man.  
The King-Designate now was near,  
His message rang both true and clear.  

It takes faith to walk Jehovah’s way,  
Not a gift that just will stay.  
We feed it strong through prayer each night,  
Till Jesus’ love makes all things right.  

Peter stood firm in fervent tone,  
“Repent,” he urged—make Christ your own.  
Baptized they came, their hearts anew,  
Their lives devoted, pure, and true.  

But what is faith? It lights our view,  
A steady hope in all that’s true.  
Assured of things we cannot see,  
Yet certain of what soon will be.

Faith keeps us near when doubts arise,  
It lifts our hearts and clears our eyes.  
Through every trial, storm, or test,  
It helps us see Jehovah’s best.  

We pray for faith—His gift so pure,  
The holy spirit makes it sure.  
Jehovah gives to those who plead,
